Do our children & students feel affirmed by us adults & by the local church? Are we truly blessing our children & students? Do they feel as if they are a part of the church? We can learn & apply a lesson of Blessing our kids by the example of the patriarch Isaac in the OT. He gave a blessing to Jacob that 1. included a tender touch 2. spoke a positive message over him & placed a high value on him 3. predicted a special future for him 4. gave the promise of continued commitment. WE SHOULD be doing this for our children as adults and as the church.
